Today, storm glass is commonly used to predict stormy weather like rain, storm, heavy rain, snow etc.But did you know storm glass also works indoors? Scientifically, it does work but not in the way people think.
However, I am going to show you some questions that you can ask yourself about the sand levels and then decide for yourself if it is safe to use indoors or not.

Rain is also another concern. When you see rain outside your window, make sure not to place the storm glass near any windows or out in the rain. The point is that if your storm glass gets wet or is in a place where rain can get to it, then the sand levels might change drastically and there’s no way of knowing how much longer it will take for moisture to collect on the inside of your glass.
The important thing with storm glasses is just knowing how they work and how to avoid getting them wet. Also, knowing that some crystals are too fragile to be touched. If you do get it wet, it’s okay! It won’t ruin the entire thing! It will just take longer for it to collect moisture. And if you know you can keep it away from water, then don’t worry about it!
