In this article, we will teach you how to set up a La Crosse weather station. In order to setup the La Crosse weather station you need the following:
-La Crosse Weather Station
-Cell Phone Signal Booster for Home/Office/Vehicle
-Wireless Router or Modem with Built in Wireless Range Extender(optional)
-Access Point(optional)
-Network Cables and Power Cables (Part of the package when buying a router or modem with a wireless range extender built in)
Please note that most if not all routers and modems come with an access point already built in so this step is optional.
Step 1: Assemble all the items in order to set up the La Crosse weather station in your desired location in your home/office/vehicle.
Step 2: Plug power into the La Crosse weather station and plug the network cable into the router or modem with a built-in wireless range extender(if applicable)and ensure there are no kinks/breaks in the cable(if applicable).
Step 3: Change settings of routers and modems so that every device connected to it gets Internet access through it. Some routers come with default settings of 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 so change it to something more memorable like 192.168.1.254 or 192.168.1.1 for simplicity of this article.
Step 4: Plug the weather station into a wall outlet and power up the wireless range extender(if applicable)and ensure its light(s) turn on and that it is spinning(if applicable).
Step 5: Plug the La Crosse weather station into a wall outlet and then plug a network cable from the wireless range extenders Ethernet port into the La Crosse weather stations network port.
Step 6: Unscrew cover from back of La Crosse weather station to expose connection ports, locate ethernet port labelled “network” and plug network cable from wireless range extender into this port.
Here the process of installing weather station will end.
